About Sun
Sun is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and world-builder.
At the center of her life and creative practice lives a world that exists far from here — among the stars, beneath the sea, and deep within the first darkness of the earth. This world is not a fantasy, but a source: the origin from which all of her work emerges.
Her music, invented language, characters, symbols, and beings all belong to this same realm. Through sound, image, voice, and form, Sun devotes her practice to grounding this world and translating its memory into ours. Her work takes many shapes — songs, art objects, handmade dolls, characters, and intimate transmissions — each a fragment of the same origin.
In her song Lost Kingdom, Sun sings in a language born from the feeling that English and Hebrew are sometimes not enough to hold the depth of her stories. She is currently developing a mystical card deck alongside a magical book — part diary, part mythology — mapping her journey into this inner realm.
This practice is not about escape.
It is an act of remembrance.
Through her work, Sun invites others to step briefly into this world, and return carrying something with them.
Introducing
I am a storyteller of the stars & sea
Dwelling... in the abysses of the oceans, all the way down to the belly of the earth, to the first darkness... only to find what is laying underneath the human form of mine.

'lost kingdom' is the first tale in At’harian - an invented mysterious language that was gifted to me, the core from which this fantasy world was born. the animated tale, too, was a gift. I carried only one image: the princess and her guardian beast. from that single vision, their meeting emerged - carried by sound, revealing itself as it wished. this is an original fantasy animation, blending mythic storytelling, worldbuilding and music. . now I offer it to you, an opening into this world. the right ones will arrive. 𖦹 . this animation was made with Procreate, frame by frame, by me sunny. no AI is used in my creations. the harp sample you hear is a sample I used through Splice, a sound library I am subscribed to. the sample is made by Maeve Gilchrist, which although I am not required to credit them, I want to, as I am enchanted with all of their samples. the singing was a total improvisation surprise session while I was traveling, sitting in my bedroom in Sri Lanka I heard the harp sample that evoked a melody within me. I grabbed the poem I have already written beforehand, and started recording this in one hour, on that bed in Sri Lanka. and so, magic was revealed.
Sunny van Rai created the music video and the song Wild Dogs, part of her album Celestial Seas, which she wrote and co-produced.
The video is completely indie — built from a small budget she managed to gather like seashells from the shore. Sunny wove together a tiny team of five beautiful humans, and together they made this wild, fever-dream creation.
Every costume, every prop, every brush of makeup, every strange mask — Sunny crafted with her own hands. The team built a whole set, a room, a little house… and then they set it on fire.
A small crew. A small budget. A big, burning dream.
Alcyone is another song from Celestial Seas, written and co-produced by Sunny van Rai.
For this video, Sunny once again created everything by hand — the dresses, the crown, the tiny celestial details that shimmer like secrets. She stitched stars into fabric and turned simple materials into something ancient and otherworldly.
The story follows Alcyone and her six sisters, beings who came from the stars. Seven luminous figures moving through earth as if they still remember the sky.
